Well, how to say it... It was a great show, these guys are the best band in the planet, no doubt about it, and I love them a lot. I feel priviledge that could see them again after 4 long years... BUT because precisely I know them well, My perception is that in this show they deliver their music, but somehow were "distracted" or just "down" about something (which probably -I imagine- had something to do with the news about Pope John Paul II's health at the time).
Maybe it was only me, but I just could feel Bono's spirit was not at 100% in this show. Of course, they're human, and their professionalism is something to admire besides the music, but I feel like this was not the night I would like to see them for this tour.
technically, the concert was a perfect mix of old and new material (Love Zoo Station in this one!) and the Oval stage and its light effects were as awsome as they always know how to do it.
However the 'feeling' I had, my pregnant wife and I will always going to remember and tell our baby he or she was so lucky to could feel U2' music as is first concert!
Long life to Bono, Larry, Adam and The Edge. God bless you guys. Hopefully I'll have someday the chance to meet you all in person.
