Oh my god. Wow is all I can say. This was my first U2 concert and BOY am I glad I went. The band was amazing, just as their music is. It's not everyday you get to see the biggest band in the world play!
The set list was great, but I wished they played more from Pop (one of the greatest albums aside from Achtung!). Sunday Bloody Sunday was especially moving and filled with energy. I loved One and Walk on at the end. Beautiful day was so uplifting, as well as I Will Follow and Where the Streets Have no Name. I could go on and on, they were all great.
For those who have tickets in the nosebleeds, it's not that bad! Bring some binoculars and still scream your heart out (even if no one around you is). I can't wait until Thursdays show where I'll be in General Admission! And for those pot smokers: arg, I wish you wouldn't smoke it indoors! Nothing against it, but some people may not be able to handle it as well (like me!) The only downer besides the pot were the people we were sitting around; most of them were unenergetic and sitting most of the time. We were the only ones screaming, singing along, and dancing, with the exception of some cool girls behind us.
U2, I know you may never read this, but thank you for your hard work, energy, and meaningful music. I know it takes a lot!
Everyone going, have an awesome time, it is worth every cent!
PS. For anyone curious about what the Arabic writing in the Achtung Baby insert says: Urinating Prohibited! or No Peeing! Isn't that funny? That is a direct translation from my dad.
