Comments: As U2 brings the Experience + Innocence tour to Europe, fans are expecting a certain amount of changes from the first leg, where shows were highly USA-themed. Those changes begin even before the show begins: Gone is the augmented reality experience that was accessible via a mobile app and projected an iceberg and melting water throughout the arena in the minutes before each show. The standard show opening is also tweaked: The lengthy visuals and sounds that represented Bono's late 2016 health scare and MRI are dialed back significantly, and transition to a video clip of Charlie Chaplin from The Great Dictator that plays for several minutes before the show starts alongside video of European cities in ruins after World War II. Also changed is the opening song, as the Bono solo performance of "Love Is All We Have Left" is skipped and the show starts with "The Blackout."

The second set brings a number of changes. "Even Better Than The Real Thing" is played for the first time since the end of the I+E tour in 2015, and takes the spot that "Desire" occupied on the first leg. "Summer Of Love" is played for the first time at a proper U2 concert -- an acoustic version by Bono and Edge that mirrors the version they performed over the summer at a private radio event in Massachusetts. It takes the spot of "Staring At The Sun" from the first leg. And perhaps the most obvious song that wouldn't get played in Europe -- "American Soul" -- is replaced by a new version of "New Year's Day," with the band performing in front of a giant European Union flag.
