Last nights show at the Pond was fantastic. I have seen U2 a least a dozen times over the last fifteen years, this was by far one of the best shows i have seen them do. After seeing them at the LA Coliseum during the Popmart tour I vowed I would never see them again after such a disappointing show/setlist etc.. Lets face it people there is nothing like seeing these guys indoors in a more intimate setting as opposed to a football stadium.
Some of the great highlights for me was Bad and a heart racing where the streets have no name truly awesome. Angel of Harlem was a highlight for me, The Edge is a bad ass. Elevation, Beautiful Day and the list goes on. After seeing them in 1997 I lost faith in the boys, but after last night show I am back as long as they keep their shows indoors from here on out. When Bono and the boys get away from all of the gimmicks and gadgets and just play rock and roll they are in rare form, and that makes them one of the greatest rock and roll bands of our modern time. What a treat. For those of you going to Thursdays show enjoy.
