This was the first concert I had seen as a U2 Fan. It was held at newly opened BC Place Stadium. This concert was, by far, the largest concert to ever take place at BC Place Stadium, and the last to have general seating on the floor (that means no chairs). The only downfall to the concert was that it was held at BC Place Stadium where the sound does not complement the artist very well (it echoes quite a bit). The concert itself was amazing. U2 was able to energize the crowd with each song leaving the audience with something to remember for the rest of their lives. I certainly remember being 10 feet from Bono, being thrown behind the security fence, buckets of water being thrown over the very hot fans, losing my "boat" shoes only to find that after the concert a few hundred shoes had fallen off other fans feet, and of course losing my voice for the next couple of days. This truly brought U2 alot of respect and admiration in Vancouver and have sold out concerts ever since.
Thanks for all the memories when I was seventeen and the continued memories I have of U2 today!
