Well well well... This concert is now at the very top in my list with Elevation (2001), Pink Floyd (1994), Coldplay (2005). I was at the Oct. 12th 2001 concert in Montreal on the floor but not in the heart.
I was the 100th person about in line for Floor access, we got in line at 9:30 am and met very nice people all day long. I mean... Where else can you meet as much quality people except in a U2 floor GA line? ;)
Excitation was as its peak when we all stand up at around 5:30.. We simply couldn't wait the doors to open! Then... The real test: am I going to get in the scene or not? we were a group of 4 and I got the one lucky ticket! I was 2nd row center scene for all the concert... The biggest (and in my word the best) rock band in the world right in your face. Simply... Perfect set list.. No downpoint at all! Legendary Montreal crowd... Telling you: I've seen U2 on May 17th in East Rutherford, NJ and it's nothing compared to Mtl!
All can I say: perfect evening! If one day, there's a "travel in time machine", I'll definitely go back to Nov 28th 2005, Bell Centre, GA ticket #627.
Got some photos.. Tried my new Olympus digital cam and here are some I share. For those of you who doubt seing U2 on the floor is too expensive.. I would have paid 300$ to a scalper anytime for that kind of experience!
Cheers to you Bono! If you're still looking for an appartment in Montreal, let me know! ;)
