UNBELIEVABLE!!!

This tour is U2's finest hour! I was blown away by how well the visual aspect of the show so perfectly complimented the music. This tour seems to be more about the music than Zoo TV, which had kind of a separate theme of its own apart from the songs. It was a gorgeous, visually stunning work of art on the visual side, and the songs were incredible.

In keeping with U2's traditon of being a fabulous live act, the material off of Pop had a much better live than on the album (and I think Pop is their best album yet!), particularly "Last Night on Earth" and "Please". The old songs were as good or better as I've ever heard them. "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "Until the End of the World" were especially spirited. Also of noteworthiness was the rad medley of "Miami" and "Bullet the Blue Sky", which was done in a very trip-hoppy, funky way.

One of the best things that I appreciated out of this show was the spiritual aspect of it. It seems that U2 have injected a fresh dose of God into their music and their stage show. This was particularly evident in "Streets", "I Still Haven't Found. . .", and "One". (Bono said during "I Still Haven't Found", "Let's go to church and skip the religion.")

I was just totally blown away. I've been a U2 fan for seven years, and this is the absolute, honest-to-God best I've ever seen them. The only disapointment for me was that they didn't play "Do You Feel Loved?", which is one of my favorite tunes from Pop. That aside, it was U2 at the peak of their powers.
