This was my 9th U2 show and was probably the best. My first tour was Popmart and this tour is what Popmart should have been! Although I loved Popmart, the rest of America didn't agree and it played to half sold stadiums. So it was really cool to finally see them play a stadium the way it should be, PACKED!
Has anyone seen accurate attendance numbers? Seems as though the local Dallas media numbers of 70k seem low. And judging by the parking fiasco outside there was 70k cars trying to park in oversold parking lots. That was a mess gettin in and out of Jerry's World. Took about 4 total hours in and out of that place cause the parking lots were unorganized. And it wasn't even Jerry's first rodeo, WTF?
But enough about the parking lots, the show was awesome. I took my Aunt, Uncle and my good buddy. It was all of thier first times seeing U2. They were very impressed and said were discussing who else could sell out a staduim tour like that and we all agreed only U2 could pull this off. Bono's voice sounded good. The mix down on the floor was excellent. It was the first stadium show where the vocals were perfect and could understand every word! It was really good to see that the band is hittin a nice stride and sounding tight. MLK rocked as did ultraviolet! U2 A-, Jerrys world D+,only because organization of the parking. Impressive house to play some football tho.
