So, what can I say. This is my sixth U2 concert overall. the crowd was wilder in this show that I have ever seen. I am a SLC native and I have seen them over the years in other cities and at home. Bono has never had a crowd on a string like he did in SLC. The quartet of war songs left a huge imprint on the crowd. I was with some people that have never seen them in concert but were huge fans. Experiencing it with them was like I was seeing them again for the first time. What a trip!! The older songs that you would think are starting to seem overplayed (i.e. Bullet, Pride, With or Without You, Still Haven't Found) are all very fresh. This new album trnaslates so well live.
Mysterious Ways was like a psychedelic iPod commercial. UTEOTW was great. Too many highlightes to mention!!! Thanks boys for a great night and for writing the soundtrack to my teenage and adult years!
