There are some moments in life that take your breath away. This concert was one of them. The energy in the Delta Center was phenomenal and the show was amazing. The set list was great, although it really wouldn’t have mattered to me what U2 performed. There’s no song they’ve written that I don’t love. I was lucky enough to make it into the ellipse and although I wasn’t in the front row, I was able to get a spot right next to the gate in the back. Several times Bono was singing right in front of us as I was jumping up and down with my personally fashioned vertigo t-shirt and my “Bono, dance with me please” poster.
My only regret was that I wasn’t with those who were waiting in the back of the Delta Center and had the opportunity to meet Bono. I would have liked to have shaken his hand and thanked him for all the good he has done. As it were, the whole experience was exhilarating. I noticed seeing U2 in person, that they make all their fans feel like they’re old friends, and that night they undoubtedly felt our adoration.
