Just came back from my 5th Elevation Tour 2001 show. I had seen the show the last
New York show just 3 days prior thinking
with all the emotions from that show that
Providence couldnt possibly top it. I was
wrong. Perhaps U2's greatest greatness is
their ability to highten their legendry.
The Dunkin Donuts Center is a fantasic venue
that I believe really lead this show to do the unthinkable. Nobody reaches people through their music quite like U2.
For me more than others this show was all
about touching moments.
During "Stuck In A Moment" A fan inside the heart threw a INXS t-shirt on the stage.
Bono was visibly deeply moved by the gesture.
Stick in a moment was written in memory of Bono's close friend and lead singer of INXS
who took his own life a few years ago.
During "Bad" Bono actually blimbed into the first level of the arena ans sought out what
appeared to be a 5 year old girl. When asked by Bono what her name was she paused and
into the mocrophone let ouy "I Love You"
Frequently through the night Bono made refrences to the Sept.11 attacks. He spoke
beatifully all night about his and the bans thoughts on how it has affected them.
Chants of USA abound.
Perhaps the moment that touched me the most
was the moment that never occurred.
I had an extra ticket and was hoping to
reach a special person to meet me at the arena. I ended up remaining solo for the night. She was in my thoughts all night.
I had offered het the ticket but she really
wanted to be there with her best friend as
well. They made an agreement that they would be there together. And to me that was perhaps
the most beautiful moment to me.
I can only pray that I can pull all my U2
resources together and get 2 extra tickets
for tommorrow nights show for them..
so they can join myself and my friend.
The set list for tonight:

top these. Something tells me there will be.

And A prayer and hope for 2 extra tickets.
