When is was 16 I saw U2 in Nijmegen (3 aug. 1993, Zooropa). That show really made a massive impression on me: Bono (McPhisto) called the dutch racist politician Hans Janmaat and sang ´I just called to say I love you´ for him - that was such a cool moment: if somebody has got that moment on CD or MP3: please mail it to me!!!!!
The show last tuesday would have made the same impression if I were 16 and saw U2 for the first time. Bono was getting better and better during the show - although it seemed to me that the G8 version of Sunday Bloody Sunday was a little bit over the edge, but I liked the 10 min version of Bad, with Bono taking a little girl on hi shoulders.
On the other hand, U2 seems to be the only group that is able to be able to find a good balance between being Activists and Rock Stars.
