I'm posting this quite a bit later than April 2005 (currently Jan, 2006), but I was there. I checked my email the day of, and was floored by what I read. I didn't have transport (live in a suburb of Vancouver, Richmond), so I waited for a ride. I was incredibly relieved to find wehen I got down there at about 5pm that they still had wristbands. I met some great new friends in the line actually from my own city. By 6pm we started to go if i recall. By 7pm I think we were inside. They only had about 3000, 4000 people I think so they shot the song "City Of Blinding Lights" a number of times, with us on the sides of the stage in the seats. Then they slowly moved us into the ellipse and just outside it on the floor. The band performed the afformentioned song a few more times. At one point I specifically remember Bono asking Edge and Adam "Why do you want to be on Pop Idol??" It was hilarious. I kinda forget what Edge said but it was kind of to the effect of "I just want my mum to see me on telly" and Adam said he wanted to "Travel the world and meet nice people". At one point the hokey pokey was played which was great and then at the end they played a couple of other songs to show their thanks to us. All in all it was fantastic.
