This was my 5th time seeing U2 (1 x Popmart 2x Elevation and 1x Vertigo) and it was probably the best gig of the lot.
The Claw was just a phenomenal stage, and although slightly disappointed that my £85 a seat tickets were at the back left of the stage, the band did walk around it plenty of times, it just meant that we couldn't actually really see the main stage, although at a Stadium Gig you watch the video walls anyway !!
Get On Your Boots was fantastic live, and it was great to see The Unforgettable Fire. I would have paid the admission price alone to see Ultraviolet, a true goosebumps moment.
My only gripe is that they seem to be alternating the setlist between two different sets, and I think Sheffield will be treated to the better one with Until The End of the World and Mysterious Ways - but that's just a minor complaint.
The only lowpoint was the sound going during Walk On, the band either didn't seem aware of it due to wearing monitors, or they just carried on in the hope it would be fixed ... it wouldn't have killed them to restart the song though.
From what I've read, there will be another European Tour next year, so hopefully we'll see them again ... and with any luck they'll play Murrayfield this time.
