So Bono forgot what day it was, did any of us really care? Sunday in a church, indeed - much elevation of souls in Hartford.
Set is pretty well set at this point, though was glad to see 'In a Little While' added from Albany the night before. As with others, I'd like to see some even minor changes thrown in throughout the tour for those going multiple nights - drop 'I Will Follow' and 'Sunday' for another Boy/War tandum .. would be great.
Some observations.
'Stay' was magical. Even as a guy, I was thrilled to see Bono 'slow dancing' with one woman through the song - a special moment indeed.
'the fly' is the most powerful song in the set, hands down. so, so much better than zoo tours.
'bad' is the most powerful song ever, though it could be longer, and longer, and longer.
With a day off, now begins the week in Boston! Bring it on boys. Looking forward to all four shows - though hoping you throw us some curves after that silly little HBO thing is done on Wednesday. This is your hometown boys, give us a sort of homecoming.
rejoice. dream outloud. walk on.
