I was down in the ellipse in the very first row a couple of people off from dead center. There was no one in front of me except security and the band. I didn't bring my camera but I took a whole bunch of pics on my cell phone. And this was my first ever U2 concert. It was just about the most amazing experience I've had in my life. I didn't realize that there were cameras on the stage that were shown on the TV screens above. I was probably geeking out right in front of everybody before I got all self conscious knowing that they were there. It also smelled like someone was smoking weed down there. Kings of Leon was an okay opening act. Couldn't understand any of their lyrics and the songs all sounded the same. The lead singer kept adjusting his hair all girly-like and someone in the crowd ribbed him about it and he responded by flipping him off. They played for about an hour. When U2 came out we all lost it. After "Elevation" I was already exhausted from jumping around and screaming. Bono is a god. It was surreal seeing him singing right in front of me. I noticed that he wears lifts or something on his shoes to make him taller. The Edge never really came to my side of the stage but Adam stood right in front of me a few times and he was smiling and having a great time(could have sworn he smiled at me when I yelled his name but everyone says that). After "Mysterious Ways" when Bono was dancing with Ali(whom I'd seen in line with us) the rest of the band stopped and stood and had these amused expressions as if Bono got too carried away. During "Pride" I was singing so hard my stomach was hurting. Bono put the rosary Pope John Paul II gave him around his neck after the last song. They played from a little after 9 until a little past 11. By the end of the show I lost my voice, my ears were ringing, all my muscles were sore and I felt like I just ran all day. But it was the most fun I've ever had. It was so unbelievable. Thanks U2!
