I've seen U2 six times, and am a 20 year fan. The other shows, although excellent have always been a little over the top, giant stadium shows, which were probably appropriate for the band at the time, because they were in the mega rock star category of the time. However, it's really really nice to go to a U2 show that was a little more intimate, a little more modest, and consisted of a set list that plays like a list a true fan would appreciate. It shows how much U2 is a fan of U2. Also, the songs are very timely to this day and age. Hearing Bono sing "mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart" rings more poignent today than when I first heard it in the 80's. I'm in my late thirties, we saw people there in their 40's and 50's, and my newphew is going tonight and he's 10. Quite a career for quite a band. The concert was a real treat for a liftime fan like myself, and hearing them close the concert with 40 was something special.
