Saw U2 in Denver last night. Awesome show and setlist but I was VERY disappointed in the sound and felt completely ripped off! I roadtripped it to Norman, Oklahoma to see the tour back in 2009 and bought tickets in the "cheap seats" and it was the most amazing show I had ever seen and had the best sound for a stadium I had ever heard. I noticed in Norman that the very top level of their stadium was empty and tickets were not sold that high up. Not so in Denver! The "cheap seats" in the top level at Invesco Field in Denver were a lot higher than the speakers on the stage and you could not hear a thing! The vocals, guitar, bass, and drums all sounded like mud and like they were playing under a huge blanket. We were closer to the helicopters above than to the speakers below! They should never sell tickets to this tour that are higher than the sound system (which curves downwards toward the crowd). Great show by the band, but it was more a game of "Name That Tune" than a rock concert!
