I decided to write something in here, as it seems u2log.com is getting a bit pissed with the europeans.
Out of nine concerts that I´ve seen, this one had the best audience. They were truly amazing - and that´s why you all have to believe that Bono wasn´t kissing anybodys ass in the end, when he said that they would never forget the two nights in cologne.
In my opinion this has something to do with the venue - it was PERFECT for a U2 concert.
I had the feeling that it was like watching the rattle and hum video - especially the version of pride from mc-nichols arena in Denver. The crowd went nuts - and they definately did at koeln arena.
Out of control is so much better to hear live than i will follow. And sweetest thing... amazing.
One thing I´ve always loved about the U2 shows is the intros. Zoo tv had different intros, the bush rap etc. Popmart had the popmuzik theme, and that worked quite well.
But elevation tour beats them all. I still get high thinking about the moment where Beatles sergeant pepper turns into the remix of elevation. That is just perfect.
But again - thanks to all the other fans in koeln arena for making friday 13. so unique.
And thanks to U2 for picking up on the vibe.
