For large concerts, it is used in conjunction with the indoor concert hall Palais Nikaia, whose doors are opened and permit large crowds of up to 50,000 to view the stage inside the hall. U2 played at at the stadium in 2005 and 2009, the latter of which holds the attendance record for the stadium with more than 55,000 people in attendance.
