I am sooooo glad that U2 decided to add the last shows to this leg. I went to Chicago Oct 15th & 16th to see them from St. Louis. I sat in the Golded Circle the first show and got on the floor near the tip of the heart for the second....That changed my concert going experiance for ever...When they announced the KC & St Louis shows, I knew that it was in the heart or bust....SO after waiting in line from 7:30am and getting #54 in line I was excited. I have been a U2 fan forever and really wanted to get on stage with them to play guitar so I made a sign with a red guitat and the words "I know 3 chords and the truth". I thought that Bono would figure out that I wanted to get pulled up from that sign, but I was wrong....After the band played stuck in a moment, they brought Bono out his guitar to play KIte, but instead, he looked at me with that all too cool ono Smirk and read my sign to the crown and then said that my red guitar was suppoesed to be on fire, and then he started playing Desire...hence all the reports of the band not being prepared to play that song.....Out of all the people in the Kemper, Bono played a song for me. That was the highlite of an incrediable show for me.
That is what makes them such a success, They are down to earth and remain close to their fans...Others waiting in the GA line passed out lyrcs to when I look through your eyes and Bono sang it live for the first time ever.....Then He pulled up a girl and sang happy birthday to her. They are truely the greatest!!
If any ones has a video or audio of the show, please let me know I would really like to have it for the memories!!
Michael
