U2 proved that they are the World's Greatest Rock Band with their performance at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. They elevated old and new fans and allowed us to sing along to every song as they took us on a soulful and spiritual journey for over 2 hours. I have seen U2 perform live over 20 times, but more than ever, I am in awe of their talent and artistry.
Every single cord they played and lyric they sung blew the roof off of the garden (it was beyond elevated), but I have to make special mention of Bullet the Blue Sky and I Will Follow. I still get chills thinking about it.
There was exactly the right amount of chemistry between older songs and ATYCLB. Although Bono's voice sounded raspy when he spoke to the audience (which wasn't as frequent as other shows), he sang from his heart.
I have one out of four shows behind me, but I am already anticipating U2's return to New York in the fall.
I am proud to be a veteran fan of U2, THE WORLD's GREATEST ROCK BAND!!
