This was the show with the New Voices of Freedom on stage recording ISHFWILF. Cool intro from Bono: "Through a darkened doorway in Harlem I heard the words, 'I believe in the Kingdom Come, when all the colors will bleed into one,' and I said, I know those words, those are My words!"
Excellent set list, with Spanish Eyes in the encore. The Joshua Tree hype of that year drew a lot of new fans and curiousity seekers to the show. Bono was still in an arm sling from his Washington mishap, so that kept his motion restrained, dampening the crowd energy a bit, which was unfortunate. I also remember the sound not being quite loud enough for the Garden, at least initially.
