This was my 2nd U2 concert. The first one was Popmart in Miami, which I caught during a business trip quite coincidentally. However for this one much more planning went into it.
You see, I'm from Honduras, so there's not much of chance to see U2 live... hell, even to listen to them on the radio is though... still I've been a fan since I was about 13, when Unforgettable Fire came out. So it was a nice surprise when a "Hola from Honduras" sign was displayed during the concert (see pics).
The show was incredible, a lot of old songs, some of my all time favorites which I didn't expect them to play made this trip and the $400 for tickets more than worth it... my wife loved it, and was her first U2 concert. Particularly great were "Wild horses" and "Bad". Bono's speeches might've been boring for some, but when your own country, where more than 60% of the population live with less than 2 dollar a day, gets it's debt wiped out, and then you get to hear one of the architects of that initiative, you pay attention and are grateful about it.
I just hope that I get to see them again in the future...
