My head is still spinning!
This was the second Vertigo show for me, Boston 3 was the first one. Looks like, it was the last one, lets hope we don’t have to wait another 5 years.
The stadium was great and the closed roof meant it was a lot darker than outside. We were in the second tier with, on theory, a great view of the stage. Shame for the big speaker, so we could not see Larry except for LAPOE and the screens. But that was really the only low point of the show.
It was also amazing to see the mix of ages during the show and the size of it all.
The Killer were really into it, and Starsailor was good, as well.
Highlights? Too many to mention! I really liked miracle drug, the crowd kept on singing after I Still Haven’t Found… and was singing wonderfully Unchained Melody at the end of One. The Fly was blisteringly good, the visuals mindblowing. I really like the whole “Political Setlist”, in what was probably the most political show I have seen so far. Nice to hear Walk on at the end of Running to Stand Still, one of my personal highlights.
Thanks U2 for two great shows this year, and lets hope I don’t have to wait another 4 years. If you have not seen the show so far, you can look forward to a spectacular evening.
