We were at mid field GA just to the right of the sound board "mix a" side. This was the first show we decided to stand back outside the stage. We did so to actually see the stage and try to achieve better sound experience. It worked. The sound was unreal and the stage looked great. Set remains virtually unchanged from the past few weeks - save for a few minor adds here and there. Highlight was 'Stay' - best performance of the song i have ever heard. Bono's impromtu interview with the band mates about the "G3 summit" b/w Edge, Larry, greenday and metalica was amusing. 'crazy tonight/discotheque/life during wartime/physco killer' was amazing and has really become a favorite part of the show for me. "hold me thrill me" was full of energy and kicked the already knock out show up 10 knotches.
Other comments: crowd seemed energetic, but Bono couldnt seem to get the place to follow his chants or pick up on the standards...all i want is you...w/ or w/o... Stay...
The stadium is a baseball field and the infield was fenced off- something i havnt seen yet. This provided great vantage points for hundreds more fans. Great set up.
Great show.
