Very sorry to hear all the bad traffic issues.
I too was stuck southbound 80 from Berkeley all the way to the 1st Coliseum exit. Yes, there are two exits. The 1st one was backed up, two full lanes, all the way off , and over the freeway overpass to the North Parking lot.
I went past that exit, and got off at the next one (by In and Out burger). Piece of cake. There was NOBODY on that offramp, from the Southbound side. That was about 7:15. I got a burger, changed into fresh clothes, went over the freeway PAST the South exit, (backed up a little), oh yeah, I then went about 2 miles out and back to find a liquor store for some pocket vodka.)
Came back to a small ONSITE parking lot, just east of the official South Coliseum entrance. They had PLENTY of parking @ 8:pm.
(not trying to brag, just don't know why people were sitting in a stalled line of traffic for 2.5 hours. GO AROUND.)
But it was really evident that when Lenny was doing his last song, the field was pretty sparse...due to the horrendous traffic organization.
Show was great. Only had one wish that they performed Ultraviolet, instead of Hold me, Thrill me.... They played HMTMKMKM @ Pop Mart in 97. Ultraviolet wasn't played since 92's ZooTv tour. (Wish the org did their research). Ok, another beef: Drop 'Don't go crazy tonight' (cause I will), and 'Magnificent' (cause its not).
Notice they also stopped playing what will no doubt put them in the top ten once again, the unreleased "Mercy". They were playing it in last years leg of the tour, but stopped. The song is a sky opener! (Google it.)
Cant wait to see them again.
And oh, I ATE 2 extra tickets cause I couldn't find anyone to take em. lol. WORTH it.
