WOW! What a great concert. My second. This was definitely more alive than LA Staples 2. The crowd was excited and the band was in EXCELLENT form. I was extremely fortunate to get into the ellipse. We were standing at the front of the rail in the center. How lucky was that!!! The show had a completely different feel and perspective from being that close to the band. (In LA I stood against the center of the outside rail, but I loved every moment of that concert too). I thought the set list was perfect and Bono's voice was perfect. The biggest treats were Love and Peace, Bad, The Fly (really great to hear again), All Beacause of You (I love the lines - I saw your face in the curve of the moon - Your shadow cast across my room - great live), and Original of The Species. Bono's voice in Original was beautiful. I love the song and it was really really wonderful live. I didn't want the show to end. I took my sister and it was her first U2 concert. Her words, "U2 can really make magic." They are without a doubt the most gifted people in the music world in today's times. I agree with a previous review about U2 concert's. They are constructed with meaning and a definte purpose, and the soul of the show should really be evaluated and thought through. It really isn't about whether they played such and such song for the millionth time, it is about a feeling - a thought - an idea. Bono's lyrics were sung with an emotional depth that I easily tapped into. This show was even more heartfelt for me. Thank you U2 for making music that can be thought about, enjoyed and felt. For U2 hard core fans the show is stunning and truly heart felt. I hope you all enjoy the photos. I certainly enjoyed taking them.
