This U2 show was really special for me! I traveled all the way from Italy just for U2, and I'm happy I did! This has been my 5th show on the Elevation tour, but the first ever U2 show in the US, and they just blew me away! I must say as an European, I feel U2 have neglected Europe a bit on this tour, which has been so special, that's why I decided to see them once more! I was VERY emotional about this show, not only for U2, but because of the moment they were touring the US, and even though they played an awesome show in Italy last July, and another great one in Slane, THIS show was more than awesome!! The highlight of the whole show for me was the moment when Bono took the American flag from a fan and clutched it tenderly to his chest! I was lucky enough to be right next to the guy who handed Bono the flag, Bono was right in my face when he delicately took it in his hands, and that moment was so awesome, so beautiful, I can still feel the emotion in my heart as I think about it! I had read so many times about that, but being THERE and seeing Bono squeezing that flag in his arms so sweetly, like he was holding his little baby, was so beautiful, the sweetest gesture of love he could ever do towards the US and their people! No words, no speeches, no statements, just ONE statement, like he was saying "I love you"! I'm not American, but I got so emotional over that moment and I'll keep it precious in my heart forever! I'll keep EACH and EVERY moment of this show in my heart forever, and as much as U2, I feel honoured I could see U2 in America right now, in this extraordinary time! When they played One and the names of the victims of Sept 11 scrolled on the screen behind them, tears came to my eyes and once more I felt it does not matter which country you're from, we're ONE!
Once more, I felt the love from U2, and my only regret is I wasn't lucky to meet them! After years and years of loving them, I NEED to thank them for all they give me!!
Bono and U2 give it ALL on every given night, and no one else in the world does it!
There's so much more I want to say, but I can't make it too long. I want to thank all the nice people I met there, especially Ashley and her mum, Skillet from Wire and my dear friend Lori! This was a great gift for me and now I WANT AND I NEED MORE U2!!!!!
