Well after a long wait I finally got see U2 back in action. And I must say, although it was great to see them again, great to heer the old classics, If i am being totally honest Although it was an ok....show it certainly wasnt a memorible show. This about the 8th time I have seen the boys starting in 1987. Before this latest concert I last saw them in the states during the current tour. And this time it only confirmed what I suspected from the last concert I saw. They are really starting to just go through the motions with little passion these days. The songs again were not too bad but if I look at it all, I thought Larry looked bored shi#less and was about to sleep, the edge while professional didnt really look like he was really wanting to be there and adam well he actually seemed to smile the most out of eveyone. Bonos voice I thought overall was only average, it was the first time in any tour i thought he didnt sound great, although during Miss S, he held the noted better than ever. I look at this and compare it to the energy of Zoo, Lovetown, and actually even popmart I think that maybe they are just during the round to get the cash. It wasnt they sounded bad it ws just they didnt look like the energy of the 4 U2 guys I have seen before. I have never looked at my watch in a U2 concert in my life before however I did last night, and that disapointes me as I have been a life long fan like many and I grew up listening to U2. Is this heading towards the stones type thing???? Well who knows. I am seeing them in sydney next week so we will see again and compare. In all though, a pretty uninspiring and run of the mill show. :(
