As soon as U2 started with “Breath” (not a very good song to start a concert, “Magnificent” would have been better), I really couldn’t hear Bono very well, and even worst, I could hear the chit chatting of the people sitting next to me louder than the music, that really killed the vibe for me (and I was sitting not that far from the stage). The whole Iran peaceful revolution snippet followed by “Sunday Bloody Sunday” was the most inspiring moment of the night, a living prove that U2’s most activist song is as relevant today as it was back in the early 80’s.
All in all, it was a good concert, but one that I might have enjoyed better if I was one of the lucky fans in front of the stage. The next day I popped up the Zoo TV Tour DVD and smiled that at least I could see the best rock band in the planet live in concert.
