What a night.
This was my fourth show of the tour. I also attended shows in Phoenix, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Originally I wasn't going to make this show, but luckily a friend came through with a GA ticket for me.
Couldn't miss U2 in my hometown, after all.
And what a night for St. Louis! What a crowd! The crowd was totally into it; you could see the band was very happy with the crowd's reaction. Several times during the show when the crowd was loud, Bono's smile was ear to ear.
Memorable moments: The wonderful "City of Blinding Lights," Bono's snippeting of "Jesus Walks," "Rock the Casbah," and "In a Little While," Bono's soaring voice during "Miss Sarajevo," the beautiful live version of "Original of the Species," Piano Man from the rail helping out during "Yahweh," the tribute to John Lennon with "Instant Karma" and Bono chasing Edge around the ellipse during "Until the End of the World."
Bono thanked us for giving them a great life. I think the opposite is true as well, and I'm sure other fans would agree that U2 has given us a great life too.
Before the show ended, Bono also asked us not to forget them. Don't worry, Bono. St. Louis won't forget you.
