It doesn't get any better than this. U2 in Chicago. They made a tour DVD about this place, and I had to come and check it out. The show was once again high energy and excitement. Bono was super duper loose and really having a good time at Soldier Field. Seems he was all over the place.
Out of Control was off the hook. Bono was taking mouthfuls of water and spitting it in the sky. The band was in fine form.
Of course, at the end, the mention of One Tree Hill had the crowd in a frenzy. I'm not sure if Edge was on the stage when Bono talked about possibly singing that song as a tribute to Greg Carrol. Regardless, I'm happy to see U2 take some *risks* with their setlists and take a chance.
The result was an unbelieveable experience that people will treasure. The city of Chicago was very appreciative and understanding, considering the boys did not rehearse this song. Sure there were a few little minor errors from some of the instruments and vocals.
....but more than anything rather than being perfect. U2 showed they they were also just .....human :)
Nice lads!
