I hardly know where to begin.

I've been to what I consider to be fair amount of concerts and none have so far topped U2's incredible performance. The only thing I could think about as I walked out of Soldier Field in a daze was: OH...MY...GOD. Needless to say, I enjoyed the show. Me and my friends didn't have such hot seats, but they weren't too bad and it's kind of hard to miss anything with that 170 ft wide LED screen.

I loved, loved, LOVED the stage set. It really exceeded all of my expectations. It's larger that life and that's just the way it ought to be when you're dealing with a band like U2. I thought 'Mofo' was a good opener even though no one around me knew what the hell it was. I, on the other hand, knew all the "Pop" songs and got quite hoarse from singing along to all of them. I loved the costumes, and Bono's stage antics especially when they did 'Miami' and he danced around in that funny little Charlie Chaplin-like hat. And then he dragged that girl up there with him and sang to her and danced with her. And then she started kissing him and just WOULD NOT STOP. But he didn't really seem to mind much either. I think I was turning green with jealousy at this point, but I watched anyway (I just pretended it was me :-)

I don't know why more people haven't mentioned the lemon. I think you all were just expecting it so much that it wasn't a big deal. But it was damn cool! I thought it was very appropriate that they popped out of it for 'Discotheque'. And the karaoke part was great. I hadn't gone to any of the other shows and hadn't talked to anyone who had so I didn't know about it. I loved that Edge sang it too! As for the man himself, Bono, I could go on for hours, but that would probably bore you, so I won't. But I'll just say that he was ON that night. He was fantastic and everything that I expected and more. I would have paid twice the ticket price to see this show. U2 is a band that was born to play live and I hope they never, ever stop touring (or at least not as long as I'm around). You all need to buy 'Pop' and listen to the songs. They cut right to the soul of music and of U2 and you can't deprive yourself of the experience. and if you haven't seen the concert, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!
