May 11, 2018 will be my 16th time seeing U2. I drove from Utah to Vegas this morning to meet my sister to go to the show. We had GA tickets. We got in the arena about 6:45pm. We were able to get on the rail along the catwalk, The Edge’s side. We met some great fans in the arena before the show. We met U2Brother and hung out with him the whole show.
Before the show were saw U2’s new manager, Guy Oseary. We were to close to use the augmented reality on the big screen. We saw someone else’s before the show and it looked like it was snowing.
I love the set list. It was a great show. Energy was high. During Sunday Bloody Sunday, Larry was right in front of us drumming. Highlights for me for this show included hearing Acrobat for the first time ever live. Hearing Staring At The Sun again acoustic, just Bono and The Edge, was fantastic. American Soul sounded cool, kind of an extended version. The Edges guitar was so cool during the end of this song.
Bono’s Birthday was yesterday. Nothing said about it during the show. Bono did mention that his two daughters and his wife Ali were at the show.
Love the show. First time seeing them in Vegas.
