wow.
waited in the GA line most of the night, and my friend and i #1-2 in the non-fanclub line. saw u2 drive in for the soundcheck (no one stopped, and they were apparently rushed), and were on the rail at the tip of the ellipse. the show was excellent, particularly miss sarajevo, the first time (acoustic), and who's gonna ride your wild horses (acoustic). john kerry and tom brady were in the house, and both got mentioned by bono.
by far the most exciting thing, however, was when my friend (martha) got pulled up on stage for with or without you. she slowed danced with bonoman for most of the song at the tip of the ellipse, right in front of me. bono then handed her back to me and shook my hand. very strange. if anyone has pictures or video from with or without you, please send them to samuel@u2.com. i'd love to have something more to share with martha.
thanks to all our wonderful neighbors on the rail, and hope to see some familiar faces there again tonight!
