...6 out of 10 (sorry!). We were in the west stand in the middle, with an ok, if not fantastic, view - and we got our tickets through pre booking at u2.com, 2 minutes after they went on sale. If i'm honest...and believe me it really galls to say this as they clearly work so hard and i SO wanted to be blown away, i left feeling that the gig felt really impersonal; the first half was awesome, but the second half (post pride) seemed somewhat passionless and a bit like a soundcheck - did the audience need to be there? Streets had no real build up which for me (and it's only my view) is THE big u2 concert song, and the sound, which was poor, lacked bass. Overall, the set list was great, although it's a good job i liked Achtung baby based on the encore. Being a massive fan...i kind of expected to be leaving on cloud nine, instead of cloud 5. As it was, it was still a great concert, but would i rush back and go through the pain of travel, the booking nightmare, accomodation etc again, i'm just not sure.
