Any U2 show is worth the price of admission and sometimes they can be so much more. This show was very good and this is my opinon and review:
The stage was very cool and impressive to actually see. Sure, I saw pictures but to see it in action was hypnotizing. I thought it was spectacular. I liked An Cat Dubh and Into The Heart, but I can understand those fans who feel that its kind of a downer and loses some people. You could feel the audience lose momentum after the first three rocking song or so. There was no Electric Co. tonight. I think that or Gloria would have kept the energy flowing better. But it was still cool to hear these rarities.
I was not expecting the hear Bad tonight and it was a pleasant suprise. It was a highlight for me along with Love and Peace or Else, Mysterious Ways (love that live slide solo Edge does!!), and 40.
I also would like to thank those people who I talked to outside the loading docks that remembered me from getting on stage in St. Louis during Elevation. Thank you all for you kind words and your offers to get me the photos you have. If you need my e-mail it is andyatmu@hotmail.com
Lastly, I took my friend Jessi who has never seen U2. I told her it would be the best concert she would see, and she now agrees. So cheers to U2 and cheers to the fans of Chicago (this coming from a St. Louis native and hardcore Cardinals fan) you were great and it was fun!
