This was my 8th U2 show in 23 years here in Chicago and the band seems to get better and better with age.I was shocked they played Sunday bloody Sunday and News Year's Day back to back , the United Center went up for grabs when they did that. Before they played "ONE" , Bono had the house lights truned off and asked everyone to open their cell phones and to text a number to donoate a dollar to feed the starving and the lights from the 23,000 cell phones lit up the building which was pretty cool.
I was a little disappointed that Bono would not get closer to the mic at times and he could not be heard during some songs. He would back away and then have to put his face back to the mic to get the vocals out.
I was in section 122 row 7 and there was a crew filming next to me all night for the DVD. Bono was 20 feet from us most of show as he walked to are section many times and sang 15 feet from us.I thought it was "OLD SCHOOL" U2 to close the show with "40".It brought back memories of the War tour. I gave the show an 11 out of ten and will see the boys again in Sept..
