What a unbelievable experience. I was one of the extremely lucky ones to have GA tix and got pulled into the Ellipse - you cannot imagine my reaction at seeing "Vertigo" flash up on the computer screen when they scanned my ticket - I was truly speechless. Having been a U2 fan for 20+ years and never being closer than 50 rows back, I cannot tell you how much this meant to me. We were literally less than 8 feet from the guys, 2 row of people. The intro guy told us it was going to be magical, and magical it was. They were very interactive with the crowd, talking, dancing, taking a number of items up on stage including an Irish flag and a t-shirt from a guy that said "I named my son Edge" or something!
I really enjoyed the entire set - what a thrill to see songs like Electric Co and An Cat Dubh/ITH come out. Mixed in with the classics, I thought they did a unbelievable job.
Thanks, U2, for a most incredible night!!!
