There's been a lot of negative talk about this tour, maybe, maybe too much talk...
This was my 9th U2 show dating back to the Joshua Tree tour in 1987. I have seen every tour since and this show was excellent.
I was on the floor about 35 feet in front of the sound board. The sound down there was great. You could hear all of Bono's lyrics and the view was great (if you are tall enough to see over the crowd.) The energy on the floor was excellent. The older songs such as Electric Co. were great for those of us who have been fans since they came out. The crowd got a little quieter during these moments only because the kids new to U2 don't know the oldies.
The band played well and with good energy. They had a good time. The only song that seemed a little off was Miracle Drug. They continue to add subtle changes to older/classics such as Bullet and RTSS. You may not like them as much as older versions you are familliar with but I like to here the changes. It keeps them fresher and not just a nostalgia act.
COBL was awesome. A great opener.
I strongly recommend this show to any music lover. Can't wait 'til the Vegas show!
