U2 rocked the United Center last night. It was well worth the 7+ hour wait in the GA line to get close, I think. Although I didn't get inside the heart, I was in the first row outside of it on Edge's side. For 15 years I've waited to get that close! (I've been a fan since I was 14, so it was a thrill.)
The only negative was all the line jumpers in the GA lines. So those of you holding GAs for upcoming shows, be alert. Fans in Chicago tried to make the lines safe and secure with cards with numbers on them. So as we lined up to get in the show, the fans could check their cards and see if they were in the right place. Well, some guys bought cards and wrote numbers on them to get a better place in line. Then they argued with the fans so much, UC security had to be called.
Be safe out there! Talk to those around you and know who was in the line in front and behind to help catch people like this. That was such a shame...
Great show though. It was worth the windburn and the sore legs from standing outside in the balmy Chicago weather.
