After being a fan of U2 my whole life, I have seen them now for only the 3rd time. I saw PopMart in Detroit, Elevation in Detroit, and now in Chicago. Starting from the beginning Garbage was excellent even though they had a technical glitch. But Bono never ceases to amaze me when the band performs. I almost got to shake his hand during Until the End of the World. My favorite songs off of the new album now are Kite and New York after seeing them performed live. Now the new version of New York is absolutely so moving and he never stops with putting all of his emotions into his singing. The whole band does an impecable job with playing with intense emotion. I missed not hearing Gone and Please, those are incredible songs. I love those songs. The end of the set was amazing and left me in awe of the power of One and Walk On. Seeing those names of the people lost in the planes that were hijacked left me with a real perspective as I left the show. U2 always has been able to show their concern for world affairs. Now I will have to wait for a few years until they tour again. This time I will try to go to more than two shows!
