Last night was our fifth of U2's six nights in Chicago during 2005... and likely our last show with the boys until 2008. Despite the whole U2.com ticket fiasco, our tickets got better each night, culminating with admission to the "Bomb Shelter" (read, the ranks of beer fart zone)!

Tuesday's night show was probably the most diverse sounding U2 concert that I've ever been to (now, 16 total). But Wednesday night's show was even more sonically diverse and (finally) thematically cohesive!

My wife and I purposefully stood at the very back on the inside of the ellipse. Bono, who eluded us at their hotel, started the show less than four feet away from us. The band was even more playful on Wednesday, energetic and eager to mess with the set list!

No Discotheque/Daddy's Gonna Pay; No Zoo Station; No Fly. But who cares, they played Wild Horses, In A Little While; (extended snippet) The First Time; Fast Cars, and most passionately, Miss Sarajevo... though, not in that order.

I eventually slid up the very FOH to take some digital shots of Adam and The Edge, but the front row may be over-rated.

Wednesday's show ranks in the top 5, I think, for me. I'll have to wait for final judgment until I get the boot...
