What a great show! This was my third show on the tour and the excitement was just tingling. COBL is a great opener. We were on stage right about 6 deep and by the time Bono lifted onto the outer rim we were in for a special treat. Vertigo was tremendous but Electric Co. was the highlight of the first set. The Edge just shredded this up and was just elf like as he rolled around the ellipse just wailing on the chords. My neck was ripe with chills. Larry provided an excellent give and take surge on the kit and Adam just held the groove like he has for so many years, albums and tours. Steady and cool our Adam is! Elevation was a blast with a give and take from the fans and the band. My sister bit the bullet and hit the GA with us and was instantly fulfilled as Bono made his rounds extrapolating emotions with the brilliant duo of Miracle Drug and STYCMIOYO. He was right in front of us sweat pouring, veins popping and voice just reaching the necessary octaves. The concert moved along at a crisp pace showing off the showmanship that has marked the enduring power of this great band. Snippets and humorous words from Bono were very entertaining. At one point he grabbed a T-shirt with John Lennon's picture and gladly kissed it. Miss S was very sweet but when One hit a tremendous occasion occurred. My sister’s boyfriend proposed and she was instantly filled with emotion watching her favorite band and sharing in a moment that she will never forget. The answer was instant and firm! For me, I was thrilled! The highlight of the night from the band was Original of the Species. This song emotes so much feeling. It appears to illicit unconditional love being lost and found in one glorious moment! Fast Cars brought it all home and 40 brought back memories of Unforgettable Fire at the Aragon Ballroom! Thanks- u guys are the best. So many memories with U2. They will be forever in my heart for carrying me through ups and down in my life! God Bless You!
