It took me a little while to appreciate how extraordinary a band I had just seen in 1979 at Chicago's intimate Park West club. It took me a few days to digest the sensory-overload onslaught invention of a 1990 manic Z00-TV stadium. It has taken me twenty odd years and one moment to remember that when we judge someone, we make no room to love them. And on Wednesday, 21st of September, it took me less than 2 & 1/2 hours to realize I was still with the same four guys who, so many years ago, first offered to share something very special, personal and passionate with any stranger who would let them. The future of U2 has been the same as in the past. And it is always better!
