Some reassuring words from Bono's wife, Ali, about her husband's health and the impending Innocence+Experience tour. She appeared Friday at a charity lunch in Dublin and, speaking to the Irish Independent, said Bono is on the mend and ready for the tour opener:

"He's doing great, he really is. He's got another six weeks left until the first date in May, so he's very excited -- he'll be ready. Everyone's looking forward to it and we're glad that's all behind us."

There's actually about nine weeks to go before opening night on May 14th, so Ali's comment about six weeks could be a reference to when the band is due to arrive in Vancouver for rehearsals. Either way, it's good to hear an update from Mrs. Hewson.
