Frankie Corpse & The Undertakers formed at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Ireland, like their schoolmates U2. Their only original song was called "Punk Power" and was written by the McCormick brothers. They performed covers of bands like The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, and The Buzzcocks. Their first gig was in 1978 opening for U2, who were known as The Hype at the time. The band's history is chronicled in Neil's book "I Was Bono's Doppelganger."
