What can I say!? U2 was fantastic! The whole of Adelaide was excited, it was like we were a small country town and the Circus came to town.
Kanye West was alright, though from the stands his sound was not too good. However, the Adelaide people seemed to like him and he pumped up the crowd very nicely!
When the sun finally set the 60,000 people at AAMI Stadium were ready for the show. I do have to say that it was very cold though!
When 'Wake Up' blasted over the speakers and the house lights were turned off, an unbelievable roar occurred which is something I will never forget.
Highlights of the night were 'Elevation' when somebody from the crowd threw a pillow at Bono, then Bono proceeding to lie down at the front of the stage. 'Stuck In A Moment' was again dedicated to Michael Hutchence, and Bono’s mention at the end of ‘Angel of Harlem’ that Kylie is the angel of Sydney was a nice touch. And the entire first encore, 'Zoo Station', 'The Fly' and 'With Or Without You' was absolutely mesmerizing!
Thank you U2, it has been a long 13 years…… but oh was it great!!!
