I know it has been over a month and a half since this show but I thought I would discuss my first u2 show and my rear view seating. When I first got to the arena, I was like "Oh ****" :) when I sat at my seats. They were directly behind the stage. The nice guy sitting next to me was also nervous since we both knew of the LED curtains that drop down. When the openers took the stage, I was more terrifed because their audio was HORRID! I began scanning the arena for any empty seats (which were soon filled). My buddy decided not to move and I am glad we didnt because the rear view provided one of the coolest expieriences I have ever had in my life. The lighting, effects, everything seemed to be magnified with the back view and it was really neat to see the inner workings of the show (well for me since I do work in theatres). The band was very well aware of our existence since we were so loud and I would say spent at least one minute of many songs playing to us (especially The Edge). Sound was a little akward in the back (Bass was WAY high) but what can you ask for? Still an inspirational show with a MANY positives.
Best Moments: When the band walked out :), Until the End of the World, Bono Singing to our section multiple times, Sunday Bloody Sunday (I thought the concrete floor would break), Pride, Yahweh (for the beautiful visuals).
Only Negative: The sound in the back...(and some really obnoxious drunk family above me lol)
I included some rear view shots so people know what the show is like from back there (also band is MUCH closer than they appear in pictures, people in the front of the back section are in the seats closest to the band)
